WILL
I GET SEASICK?
With the new generation of big ships, you'll feel
very little movement. Older ships are fitted with stabilisers to
minimise their movement. The larger the ship the more stable it
is Motion sickness pills are always available and the ship's doctors
will soon put anything right.
WILL THERE BE ENOUGH
TO DO?
With new destinations to explore every day together
with the numerous activities onboard your ship, you are very unlikely
to feel bored or trapped. One of the main advantages cruising offers
is the choice of doing as little or as much as you wish - larger
ships catering for every type of leisure or entertainment requirements
- smaller ships concentrating on relaxation or itinerary based cruises.

WILL I BE SURROUNDED
BY OLDER PEOPLE?
The average age of people now taking a cruising
is coming down fast. Destinations to some extent will reflect the
average age with younger clients cruising to the Caribbean and Mediterranean
whilst older clients may cruise to Alaska, Scandinavia and the Baltic's.
There are now many cruises catering for families, with younger passengers
and facilities to keep all generations happy.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
Traditionally, cruising has been the perfect excuse
to dress up. Most cruise lines have a couple of formal evenings,
and several informal where smart-casual would be the correct dress
code. Ships will vary, like different Hotels, and again we can advise
you on this. Most Cruise lines will advise dress code and list number
of formal nights in their pre-cruise information pack - just so
that you know what to pack. Informal dining is now becoming popular,
pioneered by N.C.L. with their Freestyle Cruising.

WHAT EXTRAS WILL
I NEED TO PAY FOR?
If your cruise doesn't include tips it is suggested
about five pounds per passenger per day is the average amount required
for tipping. Alcoholic Beverages are usually an extra as are shore
excursions. (Be aware that some cruises take pre-paid gratuities
from the credit card upon arrival - this is by no means compulsory).
Most ships will have exchanges onboard however travellers' cheques
are a good idea.
